- Can I switch from the "Travel" plan to the "Adventure" plan without losing my content?
Yes, all data entered to document your trip in your "Travel" plan will be transferred to your "Adventures" plan administration area.
- How do I switch from the "Travel" plan to the "Adventures" plan with the same account?
It's easy, you can do it from your administration space, by clicking on the "Migrate my account to the Adventures" button. Then follow the instructions.
- Can I subscribe directly to the "Adventures" package without having opened a free "Travel" account?
Yes, to do so, click on the "I subscribe" button of the "Adventures" plan and follow the instructions.
- Can I pause my "Adventures" subscription between trips without losing my content?
Yes, you can pause your subscription (suspend payment) at any time in your administration area by clicking on the "Burger" menu at the top left, then on the "Your account" sub-menu and on the "Subscription" tab. You will then no longer have access to edit the content of your trips but you will still have access to your user account to re-subscribe if you wish to add and document other trips at a later date.
While your subscription is paused, your content remains accessible online.
- What will be the URL of my web page?
Your URL (the link to your web page) will have the following format: https://blogvoyage.cc/en/identifiant where "username" will be a string of characters that you choose during the account creation process. Please note that this ID cannot be changed afterwards.
- How can blogvoyage.cc help me prepare my trip?
Once your account is created, you will have access to log in to your administration area. In this private area, you can start storing your important scanned documents (passports, visa, insurance ...). You will also be able to create the stages of your trip, enter good plans for activities, restaurants, accommodation and all this in draft mode which means that this content will only be visible from your administration space. During the trip, you will be able to find this information and either publish it on your web page or delete it if you have changed your itinerary or if you have not tested your tips.
- Why choose blogvoyage.cc, there are plenty of other similar tools?
It's true, there are plenty of tools for travellers, but each tool has its own specificities, strengths and weaknesses. The more tools you have at your disposal, the more choice you have and the more likely you are to find the one that suits you best.
If you want to focus on a map, I recommend Travelmap. If you prefer to post photos with your mobile on a road map, try the Polarsteps app.
On the other hand, if you like the blog format and writing stories, blogvoyage.cc is for you. However, you can also post photos with very little text if you so choose. Also your visitors will have access to a map with pointers to follow your journey, but this is not the most prominent feature of blogvoyage.cc.
- Can an account be deleted by the blogvoyage.cc administrator?
Yes, if the account is used for an unlawful purpose that does not comply with the blogvoyage.cc terms and conditions. For example, any content that is not related to the trip and especially hateful, racist, pornographic, unsolicited advertising, political or religious content...
An account can also be deleted if it contains no content and is not used.

About me
Who I am and why I built blogvoyage.cc?
My name is Gilles, I'm a freelance web developer and I like to travel. I currently live between Canada and France. I remember my first big trip, it was to Vietnam in 2008, we had spent entire weekends planning and organizing our future backpacking adventure. On the forums, we were advised to make photocopies of our passports and store them in a plastic bag. Our good addresses and ideas for activities were written down in a school notebook and I had spent a few hours setting up a WordPress website and setting up a domain name before we left to tell and share about our trip.
During the trip, nothing went as planned. We forgot the plastic bag containing our passports in a hotel after the second day. Our school notebook leaked in my backpack while we were in a monsoon rain and our WordPress blog was hacked shortly before our return.
Although the unexpected is part of the adventure, if I had had a ready-made place to put my notes step by step, easily share my experience, my photos and videos without worrying about the technical aspects ... I would have signed up right away!
Being a web developer, I decided to create my own tool to make my life easier during my next trips and then I decided to share this tool with as many people as possible and that's how blogvoyage.cc was born
Blogvoyage.cc is an easy to use tool that will accompany you wherever you go, whether you are an occasional traveller, a true adventurer or you want to document your mountain hikes and other micro-adventures.
